If you are having problems loading games (and possibly programs.) or if they lock up here are some things that may fix the problems.

Update Windows. Also, check for Recommended and Driver updates.

Optional: Update video card drivers.

Optional: Update sound card drivers.

May be needed: network card drivers, and other drivers

Reduce heat/power problems. Heat can lock up. Add more fans.

Replace power supply (especially if fan is now working).

Replace CPU fan (if not working correctly).

Add slot fan(s) by video card, and possibly other cards.

Update Direct X to new version.

Optional: update Open GL.

Free at least 200 megs of hard drive space. (optional: upgrade hard drive)

Add more Virtual Memory in the control panel.

 If you use VIA chipset, download the 4 in one drivers.

Add more RAM
